Santa Clara University & San Francisco State University
My career path to SF State:
I've become passionate about helping students and alumni with career exploration because I've gone through an extensive journey myself. I've coordinated international marketing teams, sat on a trading desk, hustled at a startup, traveled to over 20 countries, and almost a decade after graduating college returned to school to get my master's degree in counseling at SFSU. I enjoyed the school community so much as a student, I decided to serve as a staff member.
First Job/ Weirdest Job/ Worst Job:
My first job was as a basketball camp counselor. The environment was full of energy and it was great to watch campers develop their hoop skills and make great friends over the course of camp. I guess you could say I've been a "counselor" from the beginning!
What I like to do on the weekends:
Getting outdoors to walk, camp, bike, hike, and go to the beach. Watching my SF sports teams, especially the Dubs. Hanging with family and friends. Eating chocolate and baked goods.
Top Advice For A New Student:
Many of life's best discoveries arrive through unplanned events and experiences; stay open to as many possibilities and opportunities that come your way. And get outside your comfort zone, that's where growth happens! As Carla Harris, Vice Chairman at Morgan Stanley, says, "Fear has no place in our success equation."
